Phil B for Model Number Thermador RES30RS Problem: broken heating element (in two pieces). I have the replacement part. All videos and instructions say to: 1. Turn off power 2. Unscrew screws that hold element to back wall of oven. 3. Gently pull heating element away from wall...wires it is hooked into will also come out., 4. Unhook from wires, replace, put everything back as it was. HOWEVER ! For me, element will only pull out an inch or tow from back oven wall...then halts. Will pull out no further. Not as far as wires appearing. How do I do this? Thanks much, Phil
Answer Hello Phil. Wiggle the element up and down and if it still will not, you will need to remove the back panel of the oven to access the wires and replace the element. Usually, this is not the case and the terminals on the element is catching the housing and preventing it from coming out. This should clear if moved up and down. Read More...
