George for Model Number RDDS30VQB S/N 9707 & UP Situation: 18 year old range. 2 regular burners, 2 simmer burners. Igniters were working intermittenty when we bought house / range. Simmer burners would never relight in simmer mode. Most times burners would not initially ignite or even click but once in while it would work. All burners continue to have gas flow and can be lit with match. Igniters are clean and appear to have very low resistance. Recently no burners will ignite or even click. Gas flow is present at each burner. Control switches / pots function as I can hear simmer controller solenoid functioning when each rotated. Also confirmed and measured output of simmer controller on each channel is 120 Volts AC beteween them and N terminal. All grounds connected. Igniter leads have near zero resistance. Based on symptoms and other questions I bought new spark controller 753257 and installed. Still no clicking on any igniter. Tried different positions for igniter leads but no difference. Question: What is the problem? 4 bad igniters? Bad Simmer Controller? Bad replacement spark module?
Answer George, Based on this information it sounds like the issue will be a faulty bad simmer control on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 9, 2016
