Stephen January 03, 2024 for Model Number PRG366 This range came with the home purchase. The front & back left burners would not spark to ignite those burners. The other 4 did work. As time passed, the front rightmost burner would spark forever, to ignite, (which later progressed to didn't ignite at all) unless the flame from the adjacent burner lit up the gas flowing from it).. Called a repair service, who part of CHOICE HOME WARRANTY . their 1st teck pulled the oven door off its hinges trying to move the oven to get to the outlet as he thought it was dead. (all he had to do was trip the dedicated GFI in the basement to restore oven power, bec he was beyond dumb & dumber to check the breaker & GFI!. He left my home with the oven door hanging loose. CHW sent a 2nd tech, who said that the door needed new hinges. He also said that the left-side burners needed 2 parts. He arrived to install the hinges and fix the burners. The door now closes, but the hinges stick out past the front of the oven door. (He also took me for a new oven gasket). After installing the ignition parts & they still didn't work. He said it also needed a control unit that he missed the 1st time he evaluated it. CHW demanded I file a 2nd claim, refusing to combine it with the original claim, even though this was missed! Though they covered ?? the 2 parts from the original claim, They said they won't cover the control unit because of its cost. I was never told what 2 parts were installed, that were covered, (if they were even ever installed.) SO....will a new spark control unit fix the burner issue described above & which unit do I purchase? Any suggestions to fix or reinstall the hinges, properly hidden from view? did he install the wrong hinges? ***BEWARE CHOICE HOME WARRANTY**All reviews are fake reviews***
1 Answer Stephen, Unfortunately, the door hinges and the likely control parts needed for your unit have been discontinued by the manufacturer & are no longer available. No alternate or substitute part has been recommended by the manufacturer. Read More...
Cb December 29, 2023 for Model Number SGCS456RB I need to replace the 6 point gas re-igniter with flame certification and re-ignition delay on a Thermador cooktop SGCS456RB unit. The part numbers on my re-igniter unit are RI 326 / 15-10-323-01. I see that you are offering the RI 306 for sale. Do you have the RI 326? If not, is the RI 306 compatible and what is the difference between the two? Thanks!
1 Answer CB, the manufacturer-recommended spark module for the model provided is part number 00753257. Read More...
Birch August 14, 2023 for Model Number PRDS486GL Trying to track down 2 burner potentiometers & an igniter for the grill top, seems like both parts have been discontinued. Are there any after market direct replacements that can be used? thanks!
1 Answer Hello Birch, once a manufacturer discontinues a part and it is no longer in stock, the part is considered no longer available, there are no substitute parts listed. Read More...
Kb October 27, 2022 for Model Number RDSS30RS All four of the ignitors on Thermador RDSS30RS stopped working at the same time. I replaced the spark module with the correct one from your site. When I turned the power back on, I heard the ignitors click once or twice. Now all four burners work, but all the ignitors continue to click until whatever burner you have on is turned off. Any idea what the problem might be? Thank you in advance.
1 Answer RB, The igniters are supposed to spark when one of the burners is in the light position. If the unit is sparking without it in the light position then test the ignition switches on the burner valve for continuity in the off position and if there is continuity then this will be a faulty switch. Dan October 01, 2022 for Model Number PRD304GHU The igniter on one of the XLO burners clicks when the burner is off. It happens most often immediately after the flame has been switched off. I can get it to stop by turning the knob just slightly, so that it is between the off and hi positions (but no gas is flowing). I suspect a faulty potentiometer, is this a correct diagnosis?
1 Answer Dan, This issue would be caused by a faulty potentiometer that will need to be replaced. Read More...
Chip February 02, 2022 for Model Number PRG364GDUS I have replaced both solenoids and frozen burner tubes with jet holders and tubing. All ignitors working but no gas flowing to xlo burners. Right side burners, griddle and oven all work fine. As recommended, I tested both potentiometers for continuity (Terminal 5 to terminal 1) and have an open circuit. Do these pots control the flow of gas to the xlo burners? Also, I can't find a Simmer Control 900422882 on my 2003 Range only the 4-spark ignitor With solenoids now removed no gas flow detected during a quick test.
1 Answer Hello Chip, from the parts diagram it appears the Simmer Control (00422882) is located behind the front lower service panel which is below the oven door. The Simmer Control controls the operation of the two right-side top burners, when it fails there is no gas flow to those burners. The part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available, Read More...
Eb5 November 09, 2021 for Model Number RDSS30QB This is a follow up to our prior Q&A (pasted below)...I went ahead and replaced the spark module with the correct one from your store. All 4 gas burners now light (good news) but as soon as I flipped the power back on, all 4 burners started to continuously spark (even without turning any knobs and even after I tested and lit each burner--they won't stop sparking). Is this an issue with the new module or is something else going on? Please help/advise how to figure this out--I am not electrically savvy but determined to win this battle! Thank you. Prior question you answered--Over time, Thermador gas range no longer sparking any of 4 burners. Replaced all 4 igniters and 2 ignition switches. Now getting sparks on 3 of 4, but not strong enough to light the gas. The connectors on the wires attaching to the bottom of the igniters show varying degrees of corrosion/browning inside, whereas the connectors at the spark module end look fine. Might I just need to replace the 4 wires and not the module to get a stronger spark to the igniters? If so, where can I purchase just the wires with the correct connectors--I have not been able to find them on the site? Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions!
1 Answer EB5, the spark module would need to receive voltage from a valve switch being turned to the on position. Testing each switch for continuity when they are in the off position will allow the identification of which switch has failed. Read More...

1 Answer EB5, Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the wires for the igniters as a sellable part. You could try to clean the connectors with contact cleaner and make sure that they have a tight fit. The issue you are having though sounds more likely that the spark module is what may be the issue with the unit. Read More...
Andrew October 14, 2021 for Model Number SGCV36G01 Older cooktop SGCV36G, has been working great until recently, where the left front burner and back right burner no longer ignites. On turning on the control, I get one spark from the ignitor, and then nothing, so if it didn't light, the gas keeps flowing. Similarly if you blow it out, the igniter doesn't start sparking to re-light it. Turning on another burner causes all igniters to spark, and it lights ok. I'm wondering if it is the spark module 20-09-166 that could be at fault, and if so, can it be replaced with 00753257 which has 6 instead of 4 outputs?
1 Answer Andrew, Using a multimeter I would recommend checking the wiring and the spark switches from the module to the ignitor. Read More...
Jeffrey September 17, 2021 for Model Number karalunj@gmail.com I am going to order parts today (potentiometer and simmer control board) to fix XLO burners on left side of Thermador PRG486JDG. is it possible to bypass temporarily so I can turn back on oven without constant igniting until parts arrive so I can cook?
