The Spark Module is an OEM part Bosch ranges and cooktops. This electronic part generates the high-voltage spark needed to reliably ignite the gas burners with the push of a button.

Causes can be issues like component failure over the thousands of ignitions it facilitates. Water ingress could also potentially cause problems. 

Symptoms of a bad spark module include:

  • Unreliable or intermittent burner ignition requiring multiple ignition button presses
  • One or more burners that will not ignite at all
  • Occasionally flashing or error codes relating to ignition issues

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Chip for Model Number PRG364GDUS

I have replaced both solenoids and frozen burner tubes with jet holders and tubing. All ignitors working but no gas flowing to xlo burners. Right side burners, griddle and oven all work fine. As recommended, I tested both potentiometers for continuity (Terminal 5 to terminal 1) and have an open circuit. Do these pots control the flow of gas to the xlo burners? Also, I can't find a Simmer Control 900422882 on my 2003 Range only the 4-spark ignitor With solenoids now removed no gas flow detected during a quick test.

Hello Chip, from the parts diagram it appears the Simmer Control (00422882) is located behind the front lower service panel which is below the oven door. The Simmer Control controls the operation of the two right-side top burners, when it fails there is no gas flow to those burners. The part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available,
