Joann for Model Number shx4605uc Hello KJ. You will need to check and see if there is water in the bottom tray under the dishwasher. If so, there is a leak under there, that is causing the pump to kick on to prevent flooding of the house. You will need to dry the bottom out and run the dishwasher and look for leaks. Once you find where the dishwasher is leaking from, we will be glad to look the part up for you. Hope this helps. Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com How do I get to the bottom tray? I have slid it out and taken off the toe kick plate. I also cleaned out the drain, took out the piece that covers the sump pump, took needle nose pliers to take out the blace rubber thing and cleaned that too. The blue paddle turns freely. The drain still runs, even with the door open. I believe it is the float that is engaged, but do not know how to proceed with caution. Thank you!
Answer Hello Joann. If you remove the side access panel on the left side facing the dishwasher, you can access and replace the float assembly 00165301. The base assembly of the dishwasher is the bottom part on the dishwasher that sits on the floor. If there is water in there, then you have a leak. Hope this helps. Read More...
