Manufacturer Part Number: 00165301

The Float is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. This float senses water levels inside the dishwasher, signaling the inlet valve to refill when needed.

Causes of a float malfunctioning can be mineral deposits accumulating and weighing it down over time, or cracks in the plastic housing allowing water in.

Symptoms of a bad float include:

  • The dishwasher not filling or filling slowly
  • Error codes related to fill issues
  • Improper water levels impacting wash results

This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

Richard for Model Number Bosch SHX68T55UC/02

Encountering water error code E15 and water in bottom pan. Removed all panels and observed during operation multiple times. All cycles run to completion and no water is entering the pan during operation and for many hours after cycle is completed. Many hours later (overnight) water appears in the pan again and triggers the E15 code and drain pump starts to run. What could be the cause of water entering the pan? I am assuming something causes a rush of water to enter the pan while the dishwasher is fully idle. Thank you for your answers.

Answer

Richard, as water can only enter the dishwasher if the valve 10023852 is leaking by and causing water to overflow into the tub, or if the drain hose is backfilling and the check valve 00611320 would allow for water to fill back into the tub. Any overflow would cause the water to go into the base pan. Identifying through observation would be the only sure way of locating where the water would be coming from on the dishwasher.
