Hello Peterson, If you lift the star burner cap and use a socket to remove the brass nut in the center, the complete start burner assembly, ignitor and all, will lift up. You will then remove the wire and the clip and slip the ignitor out of the top of the burner. The new ignitor is installed in the exact reverse order.
