Then use a safety pin or small paper clip in the orifice hole to ensure it is clear. If these are good, make sure the spark is white or blue since, if the spark is yellow, orange, or red, it has a hard time lighting the gas. If it is yellow, orange, or red you will need to disassemble the main top to clean the connection points of the metal panels making up the main top. This may need to be done with sandpaper to re-establish ground to the surface burner for a strong spark.
