Larry for Model Number Thermador SGS365 My Thermador SGS365 cooktop uses this 00189324 spark burner igniter. I reviewed your help video, but frankly, it does not apply. Mine has a capture spring that is crazy hard to get off the porcelain. I would like to see or read a tip on how to best remove that capture spring without damaging the porcelain spark part.
Answer Larry, once the retaining clip has been removed from the ignitor and the ignitor has been pulled through, the spring should slide off of the ignitor unless it has seized on from any residues. An old toothbrush and a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water can be used to clean any residues off that might be causing it to seize. Read More...
