Lisa for Model Number SHE3AR75UC/14 Our dishwasher door won't latch/catch and, in order to run, the door must be pushed and held closed. Should we replace the door latch or could it be a different issue? I saw your answer above about a door strike but I don't see a door strike on this model -- just the small tab(s) at the top of the dishwasher and the divot on the door.
Answer Lisa, it would be recommended that the door is checked to ensure that it is level with the tub, and the lock assembly 10028963 would be used in securing the door. However, the door area should be inspected for any debris that may prevent it from shutting properly as well as ensuring that the racks are not causing forward tension on the door as this can cause it to not secure properly.
