Lee for Model Number hmv3053u/01 I have a bosch microwave that's 1 1/2 yrs old and it blows the fuse. I heard the door latch could be the problem but it looks good. Both latches are in place. Any recommendations? thanks, Lee
Answer Lee, with the power cord unplugged, the microswitches will need to be tested for continuity for proper operation. The top microswitch 00617228 should measure open (no continuity) from terminal to terminal until the plunger is pressed. The middle switch 00617229 should measure closed (continuity) from terminal to terminal until the plunger is pressed. The bottom switch 00617230 should measure open from terminal to terminal until the plunger is pressed. If any of these switches fail, it will need to be replaced. If the switches test good, the wires will need to be inspected for any grounded connections that could create a short. The last possibility would be that the main control 11016115 would be the most likely failure. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 30, 2020
