Steve S. for Model Number Thermador RDDS30VQW s/n 20060260 about 17 years old I still have the original potentiometers, one is totally gone (won't turn on gas at all) , the other is "half bad" (turns on the gas but no intermittent feature). I still have the original simmer controller. I know the old pots are discontinued. Can I replace just the pots with the new 422748 WITHOUT changing the simmer control to the new 422882? Thanks
Answer Hello Steve, I'm sorry but the old potentiometers will not work with the new simmer control and the new potentiometers will not work with the old simmer control. This is what the manufacturer means when they say to replace all parts when ordered in the kit 00497234 because the potentiometers and controllers are incompatible with one another. Attempting to do so will destroy the simmer controller and can create a fire hazard with the potentiometers. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, May 19, 2017
