Joseph for Model Number HBL8450UC/07

If I remove the two screws securing the temperature sensor to the inner oven chamber and attempt to pull the temperature sensor out (to measure the ohms resistance at room temperature) the covered wires only come out so far (two inches) and seem to be 'at rope's end.' Should I try to force the wiring to come out further or do I have to completely remove the oven assembly out of the cabinet to get to the other end of the temperature sensor wiring to measure resistance?

Answer

Joseph, based on the information provided, it sounds like the connector on the sensor is getting hung up and should not be forcefully pulled. If the connector will not maneuver out through the front, the next step would be to access it from the back.
