Stuart for Model Number wtmc632sus/02 E1 keeps showing on the display. I checked lint basket vent on roof and took off back of dryer. All clean but still continues to alarm. I have hot air blowing so all seems o.k. with that. Could it be a temperature sensor?
Answer Hello Stuart, The NTC sensors are sensing too much heat. The connectors should be cleaned and tightened before replacing any parts. The opposite side of the sensor should be cleaned also. Please note the service manual is in the attachment. Pages 53 and 55 cover some of the information with pictures. If the lint filter light comes on unexpectedly, especially during a drying cycle, then the lint screen NTC is reading a higher than normal temperature. It can be caused by debris in the bearing shield, such as lint or other debris, or occasionally by loose NTC terminal connections. Let us know if we can assist you further. Read More...
