Hello Bob, the thermistor in the lint filter housing is part 10010119 it ohms at 10k at 77 deg F, the burner mounted thermistor is 00422221 it ohms at 25k at 77 deg F. If you click on the part link it will show the current price, stock availability and a drawing of part location in the dryer.

Tom, Check to see if the igniter is glowing at all. The fuse is normally located near the heater and the NTC sensor is a temperature sensor for when the unit is heating. It is possible that the sensor or the thermal fuse have gone bad but would look into the igniter not working, the flame/radiant sensor not opening and closing or the gas coils possibly be bad.

Kai for Model Number Nexxt 300 dryer

Hello, we have a Bosch NEXXT 300 dryer. There is no power to the unit, i.e. the control panel does not light up. What I have checked so far: 1. Breaker not tripped (measuring 240V at outlet) 2. Power relay 422203 working (I replaced it because existing one was burnt) 3. Belt switch has continuity 4. High limit thermal fuse not tripped and has continuity My fear is that the main control board is kaput, but I was hoping there was perhaps something else I can check before I go down that route (which may be too expensive anyway to fix). Thanks in advance!

Kai, if the model number of your appliance could be provided in a new question, this will allow for the most accurate information to be presented. However, if there is voltage going to the main control board, it would be most likely that the main control has failed.

Alexander for Model Number WTMC3300US/01

Hi, I'm having an issue where the hi-limit thermal fuse (at the heating element) keeps tripping. It started as once every few months, but has progressed to the point where it's happening weekly. I have the service manual for the dryer and have conducted some testing, the results of which I'll summarize below: - Heating element has continuity; resistance at room temp is about 10 kO which I understand is within spec - Hi-limit fuse (resettable) at the heating element opens at about 190°C; this is repeatable and seems to be within spec - Measurement of resistance for NTC R3 (at lint screen) across range of temperatures produces accurate readings, so I don't think this is the issue. Furthermore, the hi-limit fuse (single use) at the lint screen has continuity and has never tripped - Resistance values for NTC R2 (at heating element) seem to deviate more significantly from the values specified in the service manual. For example, specified rating at 50°C is 7.2 kO, but I'm reading ~ 8.5 kO. At 100°C, spec is 1.3 kO, but I'm reading closer to 2.2 kO In summary, since the element has continuity, I don't really see what else could be wrong with it. (Please let me know if I'm mistaken!) That leaves either the NTC's or the hi-limit fuse as the culprit, and since NTC R3 and the fuse seem to test okay, I'm thinking NTC R2 is to blame. This would make sense as the temp is reading low, so the element may stay on longer and reach the hi-limit threshold... It *seems* like replacing NTC R2 would solve this problem, but I'm sure there are other possibilities too. I don't know how common drift is with these sensors. If there's any chance of the hi-limit fuse or the element itself being the issue, I'd rather just replace the whole assembly than the individual parts, as it includes these things with it. Thanks in advance!!!

Alexander, the R2 NTC 00422221 is certainly going to cause problems as it would cause the heater to stay on longer than necessary. This could cause the element to get too hot. Another thing that could be occurring is that the heating element 00436460 could be heating up enough to start sagging and grounding out to the element casing. Usually, when this occurs, there is an indication of a temporary weld spot on the casing itself or the element stays grounded and would have continuity to the casing.

Doug, the thermistor at the heater should measure around 25K ohms of resistance and the thermistor at the lint screen should measure 10K ohms of resistance at 77°F or room temperature.

We have a Bosch Nexxt Dryer. The control panel is fully functioning, however the dryer will not start or run and the lint filter light illuminates. We installed a new lint filter and also cleaned out a large amount of lint that accumulated under the filter. We also cleaned out the exhaust. However, the dryer still will not start and the lint filter light illuminates. There are no local repairmen who service Bosch so we are on our own. Should we replace the temperature sensor next? The model number from the door is missing so we are unsure of how to order the part without the model number. Any suggestions?

1 Answer

Hello Kimberly, unfortunately, without a model number we unable to locate a technical service datasheet to help with the dryer problem. You can start by accessing the lower cabinet area and check the belt switch, thermostats, wiring to motor.also check if there is a high limit thermostat by the lint filter.

Robert for Model Number Bosch Nexxt electric dryer

I have a Bosch thermistor sensor has the number 5070 000 322 stamped on it & below that it has the number Z300/20k/a1. I checked the sensors ohms with my meter at 200k settings, and it reads 23.3 with the room temp at 63 F degrees. would the sensor be considered good? And is the that first number the part number? When I search that number online, the part number 00422221 comes up, it looks identical to what I have, is that the replacement for it?

1 Answer

Robert, With the part number 00422221 coming up as the part number and looking the same then this will be the part needed for your unit.

Hello Jane, Make sure the exhaust is clear to outside atmosphere then check the thermistor 10010119 since this and a clogged, crimped, or restricted exhaust is common issues with this model. Also, it should be installed fully for normal operation to occur. You should also check the motor in case the windings are shorted internally. If this occurs the motor will be excessively hot when the dryer shuts down.

John, If there is a resistance of only 8 ohms then this would be a bad reading and the sensor would need to be replaced.

Hello Eddie, You will need to check for voltage to and from the control board. Normally the issue described is caused by a failed relay on the control module 00670479.
