Jeremy for Model Number PRSE304S My Thermador PRSE304S has been working fine for many years, but suddenly has an issue on all four burners (two XLO and two non-XLO normal burners), where the gas will gradually go out over ~15 seconds and then the sparks will come back on. I need to wait a couple minutes before the gas comes back and the burners can light, but then they gradually go out again over ~15 seconds. All four burners spark fine when there is no flame, and stop sparking when the flame is present. The oven seems to work fine. I asked previously and was told that the simmer control module is failing. But the problem occurs on both the XLO burners and the non-XLO burners. If the simmer control module was the problem, I would expect the non-XLO to continue to function normally. Maybe something is wrong with the gas regulator, or some component shared by all burners? Or could a faulty simmer control module also affect the gas going to the non-XLO burners? Thanks.
Answer Jeremy, This issue would most likely be caused by a pressure regulator issue and would need to replace the regulator which is part number 00754658. The reason for this is that the gas is slowing down and going out on any of the 4 burners. The only thing that would control that would be the pressure regulator. Read More...
