Daran for Model Number FGFB66ECK When I preheat my 11yr old Frigidaire oven, after it's preheated the peheat light goes off, and after a few seconds the oven light goes out too. I notice also no flame in the bottom of the oven, but a few seconds later it comes on. Then oit goes out and comes on again. There is no gas smell. Should I be concerned?
Answer Hello Daran, Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
