Tony K. for Model Number FEF352AWE (FRIGIDAIRE ELECTRIC RANGE) One of the 4 top terminal blocks shorted. I replaced all four and now, none of them heat up. When I turn any of the four surface elements, there is a small buz but they do not heat up.
Answer Hi Tony. You will need to use a volt/ohm meter to make sure you have 240 vac coming into the terminal block. You may have tripped a breaker half way only allowing 120 vac to the unit. All burners require 240 vac. You need this on the outer 2-legs of the terminal block. Then make sure you have 120 vac from each outer leg to the center white neutral leg. It has to be a wiring issue or a loose connection from the controls fed directly from the terminal block if the outlet and terminal block are OK. Your wiring diagram is behind the control panel or in the lower frame when you remove the storage drawer. Let me know how this turns out. Thank You. Read More...
