Margie L for Model Number fefl74asa My oven element blew apart when taking out the element did not unplug causing a short or power surge. Got new element and replaced it now the oven nor the broiler does not work. The top burners all work and the clock. Do I need to replace theclock unit was that shorted out.
Answer Hello Margie, You will want to do a voltage check from bake to L1 and broil to L1 on the control board to determine if it is bad. If there is not 240vac then the clock is bad and needs to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
