Brian for Model Number 316418704 We were in the process of cooking dinner and the stove top as well as the oven were both on. We heard a loud buzzing sound, then a pop and smoke coming from the back of the stove. Everything went dead. I removed the top and found that the ribbon cable going to the front control buttons was completely burned in half. I removed the circuit boards from the housing and they both had burn marks on them, one of them almost all of way through the board. Is this a problem that just happens, or could something else have caused it? I don't want to change this out and have the same thing happen again. Also, does the front control pad come with the replacement?
Answer Hello Brian. This is something that happens. With the ribbon cable being burnt, you will need to order and replace both the clock and the control panel on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 25, 2014
