Idesignedit for Model Number PLES389ecb I had a technician come over and replace the clock timer. When he pressed the Bake button got the F30 error. He could not even set the clock. Only the oven light works. He now tells me that I have to replace the Panel (Part Number: AP3951016). He ordered the part for approx $370. After reviewing the AppliancePartsPro forums, I believe the technician has no idea what he is doing. He did not even look up the error code. I looked up information for error code- F30 and it tells me, open circuit - Probe sensor. I have ordered the probe sensor from AppliancePartsPro. In the meantime, is there anything else I can do to fix this problem? Need help!! Thanks Idesignedit.
Answer Idesignedit, The Error code F30 is a open probe connection. Based on the manufacturers solution you will want to Check resistance at room Temperature and compare to RTD sensor resistance chart. If resistance does not match the RTD chart replace RTD sensor probe. Check sensor wiring harness between EOC and sensor probe connector. At room temp the resistance should be 1090 ohms of resistance plus or minus 5.3 ohms. You will want to check at the control board so that this is checking the wires and the harness. Read More...
