Michelle S. for Model Number ples389ecd My husband was using the stovetop and one of the contron knobs broke. When he pushed it back in its slot, it moved too far and he heard a sort of pop that he said sounded like a breaker popping. When that happened, it shut down my control panel on the front with the clock, timer and oven controls an it will not turn back on so I cannot use my oven. Help?
Answer Hi Michelle. The best thing to do is to keep the circuit breaker turned off. Remove the control panel and investigate if the switch body broke and shorted out there physically. This should only be the part you need other than to properly insure the shorted wires are Ok to use again. If The switch is on the far right, it is part # 316441804.
