Cheryl for Model Number FGEF3030PFB I noticed my clock was flashing and I went to set it. It would not save the time. I then tried to use the stove and when I would turn the knob on any burner, the clock will turn off. I pulled the bottom drawer out and unplugged the stove then plugged it back in and it worked fine. This has happened several times. Once the stove burner wouldn’t turn on at all, another tor I turned the oven light off and the whole stove turned off. The electrician said it’s the stove, the guy from the appliance place said it’s the outlet. Any help would be great!
Answer Cheryl, It certainly sounds like there is an electrical issue with the range itself. It would be recommended to start at the terminal block and ensure that there is a good connection of the power cord and all the wires that are attached to the terminal block. Then you will need to inspect all the wiring and make sure that there is no damaged wires. This is going to be the most likely cause for this type of issue. Aside from the power supply the wiring would be the common denominator between the oven and the main top as they are not connected other than at the terminal block. Read More...
