Nathan for Model Number ples389ece I had an unfortunate accident and my first burner shorted out. I wired passed it and the everything worked great except that burner. however, 2 months later I attempted to run the clean cycle it popped a F20 Error. Ever since the oven doesn't work. I turn it on and it runs for bout 20 seconds, and it seems that as soon as the top burner would be kicking on it pops an F20 error again and I have to reset the power to get anything to function. I took it apart and tested it and found that when the code pops the relay for the "bake" wire throws a small spark (I can only see it inside of the reley(It doesnt arc to anything else)) Anyway I wanted a second opinion before i bought a new control board.
Answer Hello Nathan. You will need to replace the control board if the relay is sparking. F-20 is a control board error. Also you need to repair the burner that you bypassed. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 1, 2011
