This clock timer is the range/oven's electronic control that runs bake and broil and keeps time. Replacing a failed unit restores the display and keypad response so the oven can start and operate correctly.

  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
  • Note/photograph wire locations; move connectors to the new control one at a time
  • Handle the board by the edges and use anti-static precautions
  • Transfer any model-specific brackets or faceplate/overlay as required and set the clock after installation

Hello Lewis, Sounds like an infinite switch is starting to fail. If not, there could be an issue with the wiring harness. I would first remove the back and raise the top and check all of the places where the harness is tied together. There was an issue where the assembly line individual putting on the wire ties got too strong and was crimping wires together by tightening the wire ties too tight. Still a higher probability of an infinite switch going into failure but this is impossible to correct until the problem is every time. That is unless you replace all of the infinite switches.
