This clock timer is the range/oven's electronic control that runs bake and broil and keeps time. Replacing a failed unit restores the display and keypad response so the oven can start and operate correctly.

  • Controls oven heating by switching relays for bake and broil
  • Provides clock and timer functions on the front display
  • Receives keypad inputs to set temperatures, times, and cooking modes
  • Typical failure symptoms: blank or dim display, unresponsive buttons, oven won't start or heat, intermittent beeping or error codes
What's included: One clock/timer electronic control assembly with integrated display. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
  • Note/photograph wire locations; move connectors to the new control one at a time
  • Handle the board by the edges and use anti-static precautions
  • Transfer any model-specific brackets or faceplate/overlay as required and set the clock after installation

Louise for Model Number PGLEF385EC6

Our stove displayed the F10 code and alarm sounded while operating on Conv Bake at 400'F. Unplugged from wall and left to cool off (was very very hot ) Appliance guy cam to look and fiddled with the back of the oven and said it "SHOULD BE OK" but if the code reemerged it would need a new control board (said the sensor was fine). Then charged me $270 bucks for "resetting EOC" Oven "noises" no longer work. eg TIMER counts down and no "beep", Oven at reaching temp, no "beep", push any button, no "beep". Assuming it F10's again, i will get no warning beep! Is the stove danergous? should the EOC be repalced anyway? If so, how much is it?

Jeff for Model Number GLEF379DCG

I accidently touched metal onto the top yellow wire on the back of the control board. I replaced the control board but it does not turn on unless I turn one of the stove top knobs on. It makes a beep then the clock is at 12:00. The stove top does not heat up nor does the oven. Once I turn the stove top knob to the off position the control board clock and lights turn off. Is there a fuse that could have blown or a sensor when I touched the metal to the original board?..I have to add that when we pressed the oven button on the original control board the was a small spark that occurred on the top wire where the metal had touched. Any help would be appreciated

Hello Jeff. Check and make sure you have 240 VAC to the unit. If so, then you will need to trace and see where your losing power to the elements and check and see where you have a short at on the unit. Something is shorted and preventing the power from going to the correct parts. You could have shorted out the board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

G for Model Number GLEF379DCG

Frigidaire Model# GLEF379DCG. Pushing the bake button turns on the broiler instead of the oven. Code F 10 indicates runaway temperature. Unit is 10 years old. Looks like there are some dead bugs inside the digital number display partially blocking the numbers. Is the EOC faulty and if so what is the replacement part number for this model? I have not tested the temp probe because the troubleshooting guide indicated a faulty EOC with any button control failure.

Hello IIyogi. F30 fault code in EOC display. Open oven temperature sensor circuit. Note: The temperature sensor circuit consists of the sensor (probe), front safety thermostat, rear safety thermostat and connecting wires. On the above listed models this error code can be caused by one or more of the following conditions. 1. The oven temperature sensor (probe) is open. 2. Front oven safety thermostat is open. 3. Rear oven safety thermostat is open. 4. Failed connection or broken wire in the sensor circuit. Step 1: Test the resistance of the entire sensor circuit by disconnecting power to the range and accessing the multi-pin harness connector plug on the rear of the EOC. With the plug disconnected from the EOC, measure the resistance between the two violet wires found in the harness. At room temperature the resistance should be approximately 1100 ohms. If the resistance is correct then the fault is internal in the EOC and it must be replaced. Step 2: If the sensor circuit resistance is higher than 1200 ohms at room temperature, then test the two safety thermostats in the oven sensor circuit. If either safety thermostat is found to be open, it should be replaced with the proper service replacement part. The safety thermostats may have a reset button that can be used to temporarily restore the range to full function, however; the thermostat must be replaced for continued proper operation. Note: The thermostat located in front must be replaced with p/n 318005213. Note: If the rear safety thermostat is open there could be a failure of the cooling fan high speed control thermostat p/n 318003614, or the cooling fan itself. This thermostat switches the cooling fan from low speed to high speed when it reaches a temperature of 170°F. Verify that the thermostat is operating properly by using a heat gun to raise the temperature above 170°F. Select a bake cycle on the EOC and check to see that the cooling fan is running on high speed. Replace the high speed fan thermostat or fan motor if defective. Step 3: Test the temperature sensor (probe) by disconnecting it from the harness and measuring the resistance with an ohm meter. If the resistance is higher than 1200 ohms or less than 1000 ohms replace the sensor. If the quick connect harness plug on the temperature sensor probe is found to be defective the plug can be cut out and the connection can be hard wired. Step 4: Verify continuity of the wire harness and connections from the temperature sensor and safety thermostats.

Tom, The most likely cause for the unit not baking or broiling and both going out at the same time would be that the control board has failed. Even with the clock working, the board has relays on it that if they are not working then the oven will not work. The part number that you will need is 316557205.
