Sheri for Model Number GLGF386DSE My oven doesn't always ignite right a away when I intend to bake, often I can see a light coming from the bottom of the oven, but without heat, or very very little heat. After about 10 minutes I smell gas, then it POOFS and ignites. Sometimes it takes up to 30-40 to light or even to smell any gas. I've thoroughly cleaned the oven, and still have this problem, sometimes it happens midway into baking when it needs to reheat, and the kitchen fills with gas. I feel it may be the controller, we are on our second one in 5 or so years.
Answer Hello Sheri, The most common failure on these is the ignitor 5304534663. It has to pull 3.2 to 3.6 amps to be able to open the gas valve so it can start. If it draws the proper current, replace the gas valve 316404900. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 7, 2012
