Jeff N. for Model Number FES367ASG Would replacing this help with oven/burner not heating up. oven was purchased in 2006 has worked since then. When I reset the breaker multiple times it beeps then when there is no beep during the reset, it works again. Very strange. Im wondering if there is a short in the controller.
Answer Hello Jeff. If the unit is getting 240 volts, and you can reset it and it work, then the control 318185448 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. If it is not working properly, first check the voltage coming to the unit. If it is below 240 volts, and flipping the breaker on and off makes it work properly, then the issue is the breaker is bad and you will need to replace the breaker. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
