I have a frigidaire gas range model number PLGF389CCB.I am getting a F1 error code on unit.I looked on your page and read stories of questions other people asked your and found a few questions and your answers were that it is control board is problem.I am writing to see if i can confirm with your for my model number of my gas range if the F1 code does mean a bad control board. If it does what is part number for the board so i can order one. Thanks so much for your time

Answer

Justin K, Based on the model provided the control part# 316207603 & its overlay part# 318214601 The Manufacturer says if the fault code is F1 Then: 1.Shorted keypad. 2.Control's internal checksum may have become corrupted. 3. Control has sensed a potential runaway oven condition. Control may have shorted relay, RTD sensor probe may have gone bad. The Solution: 1.Replace EOC. 2.Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC. 3.Check RTD sensor probe and replace if necessary. If the oven is overheating, disconnect power. If the oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced, should damage be extensive.
