Tom for Model Number ATF6700FS1

I have the frigidaire model ATF6700FS1 washer and the machine will not start when the start button is depressed. It shows PAU which from research some sites means Pause. The machine has been used now for about 3 years with no issues. When Start and cancel is pressed at same time, I get a E41 on the display which refers to the door lock. I checked the door lock assembly and even jumpered it out but it is still showing the PAU alarm which leads me to the control board. I checked all the wiring and everything is on tight. Are their any other tests to verify that the control board is the issue at fault. Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer

Tom, the E41 and the "PAU" in the display indicate an issue with the door lock assembly or control " E41 Control board thinks the door switch is open. Refer to test (7). Test 7: 1. Remove the door lock assembly and measure the resistance of the PTC. Shorted or open. Defective door lock assembly. Around 1500Ohms. Defective control board." If you tested or jumped the proper contacts on the latch, you want to look at the control board and wiring between the two components.
