David for Model Number FGGF3054KFC Our oven had erratic temp fluctuations and now won't work at all. Temp probe and gas valve both test with proper ohm reading. We had a repair man look at it but he wanted to replace the gas valve. He tested ignitor and said it was drawing proper amperage. Should I recheck ignitor or is it most likely the circuit board?
Answer Hello David. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
