Mary W for Model Number FGGF3054KFH

The top number buttons do not work (1, 2 and 3). The other number buttons do work. This means I cannot enter a temperature that starts with 1, 2 or 3. Also, when I push the Convect button, the spinning fan image on the display panel does not show and the convection fan inside the oven does not come on. So, if I hit Convect, and try to push 375 for the temperature I want, it won't accept the temperature because the 3 button doesn't work and the fan doesn't come on. So...some of the touch buttons do not work and some do. I'm assuming the control panel needs to be replaced as it's partially functioning, but not sure. I turned it off at the breaker panel, waited and turned the breaker back on but that didn't solve the problem. Now what do I do? Should I order a new Controller, part # AP4433338 and can I install that myself easily? Thanks for your insights.

Mary, With the issue that you are having of partial keys working would be caused by a faulty controller which is part number 316560106.

Carol, You will want to disconnect the power to the unit and wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If the fault returns upon powerup then replace the Electronic oven control.

Hello Dan, Since the overlay is only an indication of where the buttons are on the controller and the buttons are actually on the controller, the controller will have to be replaced to correct the issue. Please note that without the model number from the units' I.D. tag, there is no way we can verify this to be the correct controller for your unit.

Hello Charles, The manufacturers' F15 code is referring to a failed main control. Be aware before replacing that costly part that there is a resettable fuse that could have tripped. This will cause the exact same code to pop up but replacing the main control will not correct the issue if the fuse needs to be reset. It is depriving the board of one leg of 120Vac and the board "thinks" it has a problem so it will set the code.

Paul, We are unaware of there being an issue with the control board but yes you can install the board. To replace the control board you will need to slide the unit out and disconnect the power. Once power is disconnected you will need to remove the cover over the control panel. Once removed you will remove 4 screws holding the control in place and one at a time disconnect the wires and attach them to the new control board.
