Ryan M for Model Number FEF388CJBA It seems as if the whole heating element is not working. I feel like only the inside smaller part is is working on the bigger front right element. Is this possible? Will buying a new surface element fix this? or is it possible something else is causing the problem like some sort of limit switch or relay of some sort?
Answer Hello Ryan. Test the element 389082702 and make sure the contact are closed for continuity. If so, then the switch is bad and needs to be replaced, If it test open, the element is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
