Tim for Model Number LGHC2342LF2 Just bought replacement module 242074218 because the previous part wouldn't allow the ice door to open. New part does the same thing. Watching it actuate, it triggers the solenoid and the door kicks open, but the catch pin either isn't catching or isn't positioned in the correct place to allow the door to fully open and then be caught. It actually might be blocking the ice door from opening because it isn't sliding up the angled plastic to slide behind the catch. Any advice on making that work as intended?
Answer Tim, it would be recommended that the module is inspected to ensure that there is not an item that may have gotten caught in between the solenoid actuator arm and the housing as this can cause the door to not open properly.
