Newton for Model Number FRS23LH5DS3 Water is leaking around the filter cover cup. I plan to change the O- ring inside the bottom of the cup and replace the filter. I would like to know how to remove the plastic housing cover to check if the leak persists. Is it held on by a phillips head scew or is it a torx head?
Answer Newton, It appears that the water filter cover retainer screw is a 1/4 in. hex head/slotted screw 5304455650. You should be able to use a 1/4 inch hex head socket or nut driver, or a 1/4 inch flat blade screwdriver to remove/install the retainer screw. Read More...
