Mark M. for Model Number Fridgidair RBB201CH S/N 47C94289 You recommended AP2586807 (WCI 5309957099) as the replacement for the right, rear element control switch (and Infinite Heat element) for the above model and serial number cook top. After pulling the old switch and replacing it with the new, I looked at the numbers on the old switch, which said Style 7521244, Model 71525. I then looked at the instructions on the new switch, which cover 4 different switch kits, and which say Kit No. 9957100 replaces 7521244 and 7533011. In other words, the 5309957100 switch (small switch, which you recommended as the replacement for the left front speed heat element switch) matches the original right, rear infinite heat switch rather than the 5309957099. So, 1) Do I have the correct switch in there (5309957099 for right rear infinite heat)? 2) If not, will it hurt to leave that "large" switch in for that small, right, rear infinite heat burner? 3) If the wrong switch is in there, then am I better off sending the 7099 switch back, since it is $24 higher cost than the other one? Also, you recommended above discussed 5309957100 as the replacement for the left, front element control switch. That element is a "speed heat" unit, and the number on the old switch is 6628S0001A. I just want to double check that the 7100 is the recommended replacement for that speed heat element control switch. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks in advance for your response.
Answer Hello Mark. Going by your control panel here are the following part number's. For the front left, it would be either 7522564 if you have a 5/8" mounting screw or 7522844 if the screw is 3/4". Unfortuantely neither of these part's are no longer available and we cannot provide a compatible part for it's place. For the left rear according to the manufacturer you will use 5309957099. For the right rear the manufacturer recommends part number 5309957100 as the correct replacement. For the right front the part number is 6564355 and this part is also discontinued and no longer available. Sorry about any confusion and I hope this will help you. Thanks! Read More...
