Don B January 23, 2023 for Model Number Frigidaire Cooktop Deluxe RBB-100 Need switch 5309957099 for 8 inch cooking unit. Comparing new switch with exiting switch, tabs 3-L1,4-L2, 5-L2, and 2-P match existing switch. Cannot identify extra tab below 2-P and adjacent to metal strip. Is this extra tab needed and if so what is its function.

Mary Washington October 05, 2017 for Model Number Frigidaire electric stovetop RBB-102CH I have a 1960s era electric Frigidaire Stovetop range model RBB-102CH . The large surface element (8 inches) works poorly only has high temp (no longer adjustable heat). Planning to replace the switch for that burner to solve this problem. Found on your website see switch 530 995 7099 for 8 inch burner, but it has 8.9-11.0 AMP is higher than the 7.5-8.9 AMP of the old switch. My question is before I buy the 530 995 7099 with the higher AMP range will it work properly (not damage that 8 inch burner or other parts in the the stove, and will it provide proper levels of heat "simmer" to "high heat" ) for this 8 inch burner not just "high heat" as I would think higher AMP range would provide ?????
1 Answer Mary, The 5309957099 / 5309957099 Surface Element Switch, Large, Is the correct part to order for the model number you supplied. The higher amp rating of the new switch, won't affect the operation of the burner element. The amperage draw is the same on all (hi, med,lo) settings. The part is in stock and available at this time. Just in case the 6 in. element switch is part number 5309957100 / 5309957100 but is presently out of stock. Thanks, Read More...
Mike Carson August 06, 2017 for Model Number RCIB-645 I am working on a Frigidaire Flair electric range oven. The front left burner (6"speed heat burner) is open and the switch is burned out. I understand the speed heat switch is no longer manufactured and the element is hard to come by. I would like to replace them with the 240v 6" infinite heat element and switch. Is the infinite heat switch still available. I found p/n 5309957099. Is this the right switch? Also looking for the element p/n 5306590804. Any help would be appreciated.
1 Answer Mike, Unfortunately with the parts for this unit being discontinued by the manufacturer there would not be any suitable replacements for this unit. Read More...

Kris M. January 10, 2014 for Model Number frigidaire custom imperial stove/oven The left rear burner burned out and I need a replacement receptical switch. A repairman told me the part number is 9957099 but it wasn't made anymore. My range is about 45 years old I think. Can you help me find a part to fix the burner?
1 Answer Hello Kris, If you order part number 5303935058 but do not use the metal insulator hanger but use the one with your unit now, it should take care of the issue. Be aware that if the element has burned contacts where it plugs into the surface element receptacle, it will burn the new receptacle. You will either need to replace the element or sand the terminals until shiny metal is exposed. It does need to be smooth as possible since as rough connection will cause a poor connection, high resistance, and excessive current flow. These are what actually cause the issue to begin with. Mark M. July 15, 2011 for Model Number RBB201CH Again, the order number, for reference, is 1983119. I understand that you cannot recommend "modifications". It also makes sense that the switch must be sized for the element. As such, I pulled the switch (5309957099) originally recommended for the right rear element, and replaced it with the later and correctly recommended switch 5309957100. It look like I am going to need to return the 5309957099 switch, as it is not needed. I do have a further couple of questions. Is the replacement burner element for the left front burner the same number as for the right rear element? This is in reference to the burner elements themselves; not the switches. If they are not the same, then is a replacement element available for the right rear burner, and if so, then what would be the cost? Best regards, Mark
1 Answer Mark, To answer you later questions, The right rear burner element for your range, is No Longer Available from the manufacturer. The left front burner element Is Available 5306591863 . They are not interchangeable, all though they look and fit the same. Sorry. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Mark M. July 15, 2011 for Model Number RBB201CH Please refer to prior e-mails on Order number 1983119. Question 1) Can I leave the large switch in for the right rear burner, or do I need to put the other switch in there? 2) Since there is no replacement speed heat switch, would it not be possible to simply wire that left front (speed heat) burner like another infinite heat burner, and use the other new switch to do that? Again, does it matter whether I use the small or large switch? Both the left front and right rear elements appear to be the same size. Thanks, Mark
1 Answer Hello Mark. 1). Since the manufacturer did not advise this part is compatible we are unable to suggest that you may use it in it's place. More than likely it will not function correctly with that switch. 2). We cannot recommend that you modify the electrical components or systems of the unit safely. Yes it does and that is why the manufacturer provides equivalent compatible parts. We cannot supply or advise on how to make any other switch work. Hope this makes sense, thanks! Read More...
Mark M. July 15, 2011 for Model Number Fridgidair RBB201CH S/N 47C94289 You recommended AP2586807 (WCI 5309957099) as the replacement for the right, rear element control switch (and Infinite Heat element) for the above model and serial number cook top. After pulling the old switch and replacing it with the new, I looked at the numbers on the old switch, which said Style 7521244, Model 71525. I then looked at the instructions on the new switch, which cover 4 different switch kits, and which say Kit No. 9957100 replaces 7521244 and 7533011. In other words, the 5309957100 switch (small switch, which you recommended as the replacement for the left front speed heat element switch) matches the original right, rear infinite heat switch rather than the 5309957099. So, 1) Do I have the correct switch in there (5309957099 for right rear infinite heat)? 2) If not, will it hurt to leave that "large" switch in for that small, right, rear infinite heat burner? 3) If the wrong switch is in there, then am I better off sending the 7099 switch back, since it is $24 higher cost than the other one? Also, you recommended above discussed 5309957100 as the replacement for the left, front element control switch. That element is a "speed heat" unit, and the number on the old switch is 6628S0001A. I just want to double check that the 7100 is the recommended replacement for that speed heat element control switch. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks in advance for your response.
1 Answer Hello Mark. Going by your control panel here are the following part number's. For the front left, it would be either 7522564 if you have a 5/8" mounting screw or 7522844 if the screw is 3/4". Unfortuantely neither of these part's are no longer available and we cannot provide a compatible part for it's place. For the left rear according to the manufacturer you will use 5309957099. For the right rear the manufacturer recommends part number 5309957100 as the correct replacement. For the right front the part number is 6564355 and this part is also discontinued and no longer available. Sorry about any confusion and I hope this will help you. Thanks! Read More...
