Laura G for Model Number GLGF386DSA The most used left front burner on our gas (propane fueled) range does not work. There is no clicking sound and no subsequent flame but if I turn it on at same time as another burner, the flame does come on. It was suggested that this is probably a switch issue and not the spark module. Would you agree? Is there only one switch to order and is this something I can tackle putting in myself? Thank you.
Answer Laura, The igniter switches come as an assembly and are pre wired 316219006 so you'll have to replace them all. Replacing them will be a bit of a project, You'll need to : remove power to the range, remove all the grates and burner caps, remove the burner bases, disconnect the igniter wires and raise the cook top then remove the manifold panel and knobs. It's not that hard a repair and very doable for a DIY'r. We could even supply the basic instructions to you, if you could supply a e mail address. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
