David for Model Number JGBS23DEM4WW I am replacing a OEM GE WB19K10044 Range Valve Control Assembly PS2577552. The stove is used on a propane system. Does the orifice need to be changed on the new valve control assembly? or does it use the same orifice. If it needs to be changed then I should be able to swap the orifice from the old assembly to the new one, correct? Thanks
Answer David, if you're replacing the WB19K10044 Control Valve Asmb. you don't have to switch orifice hoods, the existing hood is adjustable. use a 1/2 in. open end wrench or small crescent wrench and turn the hood 2 or 3 revolutions clockwise (down), the hood will lower down on the internal LP "pin" and the valve is converted.
