Lisa for Model Number GE JGBP28DED2CT Hi there, We just completed all steps to convert our range from Natural Gas to Propane, following the instructions that came with our range, and the oven is now throwing even larger yellow flames with an even stronger gas smell than before. The instructions were to tighten the hood nuts and open the air vents all the way on the upper and lower burners, and flip the pin inside the hex nut on the regulator 180 degrees. Is there something we missed or should try at this point?
Answer Lisa, the limiter in the regulator would need to be checked to ensure that it was not overtightened and that it is snugly set in place. It should have a stem that would need to face into the regulator for LP. If this stem has broken, the regulator WB19K10001 would need to be replaced. Read More...
