Luis for Model Number JGSP23WEY7WW My GE cooktop is not working correctly. It is about 12 years old. I have a knob when touched will begin to click as if it wants to try to ignite. We move the knob to try to stop the clicking but it takes a minute or two now to stop it. Also, the other three knobs now if touched begin to click the problem burner. Is this an electrode or knob problem? Thank you.
Answer Luis, If the igniter starts to click when you just touch the knob then the ignition switch would most likely be the cause of the issue. You will want to check the continuity of the switches in the off position. If there is continuity then the switch is bad and would need to be replaced. Read More...
