Hello Erin, Unfortunately, we do not have listings for units this old and I'm also sorry to say that we have no way to research the age of the unit. The filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher or you can wash it in hot white vinegar. Either way will work. The only way you cannot do this is if the filter is a charcoal filter or any other material is incorporated in the design of the filter. All aluminum filters can be washed either way. The filter only needs replaced if there is damage to it.
