Dave for Model Number GSD2000Z07WH My wife uses the finish dishwashing packet and recently the dishwasher started acting up. The dishes don't really get clean and the soap dispenser opens, however the soap pack doesn't come out of the dispenser. She tried using some dishwasher cleaners bottles and they didn't open up either. I increased my hot water heater temperature to about 145 degrees and it had no effect to the dishwasher operation. I can hear the water inside the dishwasher but I don't know how much. When I open the door while it's operating I don't see any water in the tub of my unit. The heating element does get hot. Do you have any suggestions on what I may need to check and how to check it. I'd rather put a few dollars in this unit than purchase a new one. It is 15 years old but sure has worked well in the past. Thank you
Answer Hello Dave, You should start the machine and listen for the water fill to complete. When the "hissing" of the water valve is done, you should have water within an inch of the heating element. If not, replace the water valve WD15X10003 if voltage is getting to it during the fill time. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, May 18, 2015
