Lisa for Model Number gsd2000z00wh ge dishwasher less than 1/2 cup of water going in..... cycles perfectly float or water inlet valve? I checked float it pops up and down with a clicking sound... when i put cap back on it, it goes down. should there be free movement there?
Answer Lisa, If you can move the float up and down freely, and hear the water level switch "click" when manipulated, then you'll need to look for an issue in the water fill valve WD15X93 or the water supply line to the dishwasher. Most likely the debris screen is clogged with sediment, or the diaphram or valve seat is coated with chemicals and won't allow the water to enter at full force(7 to 8 gallons per minute).
