Answer Terence, To get to the heating element you will need to remove the main top of the unit. You can do this by pushing in on 2 spring clips between the front panel and the main top. Then remove the main top. There will be a screw on either side that will hold the front panel in place. Remove the screws and take off the front panel, and release the drum belt. You will then go to the back of the unit and remove the rear panel. There will be a couple of bolts there that hold the inner tub in place. Remove and lift out the inner tub.
