Brian for Model Number GE Electric Dryer DHDSR48EF1WW When replacing the motor in my GE dryer, I noticed the heater element coils were really sagging at the top, more with the bottom coil than the top coil. I have heard this means they will fail soon and should be replaced. Would I be better off replacing the whole element (part WE11M23) or would that be overkill and be fine to just restring the coil kit? I did notice that the element has a little bit of rust at the top and some discoloration, possibly due to the element heating unevenly? Thanks! Brian
Answer Brian, Using the restring kit on your unit would be fine to do. If you are looking for the easiest way to do the repair of the heater would be to replace the entire housing assembly but is not necessary to do this. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 19, 2014
