Paul for Model Number NWXR483EG4WW I put a restring element kit in our dryer this past December, when I had it apart I found that the back plate was cracked, needed to have the dryer working so i put the new elements on the cracked assembly. The dryer has started shutting down and feels hot on the top when it does, could this be caused by the broken back plate assy? All exhaust tubing was replaced and /or cleaned prior to replacing elements and I also replaced the safety thermostat, the high-limit thermostat and the cycling thermostat with the new elements.
Answer Paul, If the broken piece has allowed the element to get shorted to ground then yes it could cause your issue...would need to inspect it to be sure. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 13, 2020
