Barbette for Model Number GDF570SSF6SS My dishwasher quit heating. We have checked the Element Heating ASM and power is working. When I checked this last cycle when the heating cycle started, I opened the dishwasher to see if the Element Heating ASM was hot, it is not. Do you think I should change this part and the thermostat? If yes, I cannot find the thermostat part to order. Thanks
Answer Hello Barbette, The high limit TCO is located on the bottom right side of the tub, about 15 inches from the front of the tub. It is secured with a clip that is spot welded to the tub. It is a manual reset design which can be reset for testing. If found tripped, the thermistor should be checked. If the thermistor is within specifications, the main control WD21X24899 should be replaced. Test specifications are 120Vac supplied to the heater. The heater should read 18 ohms wet and 23.4 ohms dry. Current draw should be 6.7 amps wet and 5.125 amps dry. The tub TCO has a trip temperature of 180°F +/- 8°. Read More...
