Mary Jane M for Model Number Maytag RSD2400 I want to replace the complete icemaker. The tubing in the back of the frig has come apart and we can not get it to reattach and stay together when water is suposed to go through. I would like a whole new assembly for the icemaker with new tubing and directions on how to install the whole assembly. What should I order?
Answer Mary Jane, Unfortunately the icemaker kit 12500048 for your unit has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no replacement. The fill tube that the water line connects to is actually part of the unit and cannot be replaced. You may want to try to make sure that the fill tube that goes inside the unit is not frozen with ice which would be an indicator of a bad water valve. If it is frozen it will cause back pressure on the feed tube and cause it to pop out when trying to get the water into the icemaker. Read More...
