Bruce for Model Number IM6 Hello, I installed one of your IM6D kits a few years ago. Recently, the fill tube fell off, causing some leaks. I got the fill tube back on, but then the ice mold was either overfilling (at first) or now underfilling, but otherwise cubes seem to be working properly. 1) Is this a thermistor or water valve problem; 2) will the phillips screw on the side (connected to the rod) with a +/- adjustment do anything to fix this? Hard to find info on this maker. Thanks!
Answer Bruce, This issue would most likely not be caused by a faulty icemaker but would be a water valve issue. Check the fill tube for icing up and if it is then the water valve is sticking open slightly causing the unit to overfill when you first reinstalled the fill tube but now the fill tube is most likely getting iced up and not allowing enough water in.
